Campingaz® cylinders are widely available and exchangeable across Europe. Check our gas store locator on the website for authorised Campingaz exchange dealers. Only Campingaz® brand blue refillable bottles benefit from this exchange service. We are not responsible for, and make no commitment to take back a bottle that is not the original blue colour. The exchange of bottles of other brands is not possible.

Be aware of safety precautions around the use of our Campingaz® cartridges and cylinders. It is highly recommended to follow our instructions and to disregard any image, video, presentation showing refilling operations of Campingaz® cartridges or cylinders in harmful conditions. The content of those recordings might be inappropriate, encouraging dangerous activities that have an inherent risk of serious injury or death and which purpose cannot be qualified as educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic in any way.

Cartridges – DO NOT REFILL

The risk, in case of refill is to:

  • damage the valve which could result into gas leakage. The valve is built for a unique refill and not intended for repetitive usage;
  • overfill, potentially resulting into explosion.

Cylinders – REFILL SUBJECT TO STRICT CONDITIONS

The manufacturer’s refilling process includes systematic maintenance of each cylinder whereby its initial condition is cautiously restored before being re-introduced on the market. The manufacturer individually inspects, tests, repairs and repaints each cylinder in accordance with stringent specifications including mandatory safety standards.

Gas is a highly flammable product that can be dangerous. The cylinders are thought for use in camping and outdoor living, where they are often exposed to the sun, wind or rain for long periods of time – which emphasizes the need for serious inspection during each refilling operation.

In order to guarantee the highest standards of quality and safety to its consumers, the manufacturer operates the refilling process (with the proper composition and weight of gas) through a series of conditions with qualified staff and suitable resources. This maintenance is clearly identifiable not only by the cylinder's good condition, but also by the red seal at the top.

You will certainly understand from the above that any encouragement to fill Campingaz® brand cylinders outside the approved process violates basic rules of quality and safety.
